FIRST TOOTH!!!

I know, alert the presses, right?? Well after nearly 14 months of using that "he MUST be teething" excuse to back up any inappropriate behavior [nonsleeping], he finally did it!! Tooth #1 has sprouted, cut through, whathaveyou. Okay, so it is pretty much impossible to get a good shot of the little nubbin barely poking out of the gums but man is it sharp!

 Seriously this kid was only months away from Guiness Book of World records for that gummy grin. Was I pretty sadly desperate to get a "first picture"? You bet.

So the tooth finally arrived [slowly but surely], thanks to tooth karma, and all those teething biscuits...

 

 Cigars or pretzel rods... does the Bug think he's in the mafia or something? Crazy kid. Since getting a toothbrush from cousin Benjamin, he has been obsessed over the last week or so with brushing teeth gums tooth [to add to his obsession with baths... I suppose it could be worse, right?]. Today we actually brushed teeth together three times!! He actually cries at the end of every brushing session, poor thing [and the third time he attempted to brush his hair AND teeth at the same time!]

PS. The conehead has been de-coned and is doing well, if not a little paranoid and skittish all day. But at least he finally got to clean himself for the first time in almost three weeks!
